Dr.
Zhang obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department
of Genetics and Center for Developmental Biology, Wuhan
University, China. His project involves in studying
pancreatic islet cell growth and differentiation. He
is also interested in
elucidating the molecular mechanisms of INSM1 function
in pancreatic islet cells. |

Chuanqi Cai, Ph.D. - Postdoctoral
Researcher |
| Dr.
Cai obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of
Genetics, Fudan University, China. He was trained as
an exchange scholar in Harvard Medical School. He is
knowledgeable in gene regulation, ChIP assay, animal
study, and recombinant viral technology. He will focus
on insulin gene regulation, INS-VNTR, and constructing
transgene to generate transgenic animal model. |
